Living in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California, my creativity is derived from the beauty that surrounds me. The inspiration nature lends allows me to express myself organically no matter what I may be inspired to create. Working with my hands has always given me a sense of accomplishment and a means of expression. The materials I use the most are found outside, natural, waiting to be transformed. When working with wood and stone I see what the piece can become and enjoy the change of detail that comes with each step. Like the smell of the wood or the discovery of new sedimentary layers in the stone. Each step reveals itself a little at a time and reminds me of the growth one's life path can take. Moving on toward the goal, becoming more valuable and beautiful for a set purpose. What I enjoy making the most are "one-of-a -kind" multifarious pieces. To me, art is something that makes a direct visual and emotional impression on the astute observer.  My goal is for you to experience that here.....
